From Transformers: Lost and Found
|Played by: Araneiform|
Swoop is a Dinobot, and that's all you need to know.
Swoop is, while being what one could generously call the "friendliest" of the Dinobots, still not great with others, not his fellow Autobots and ESPECIALLY not Decepticons. He fit into Grimlock's group primarily for this reason, and because he also believed in what Grimlock was doing.
Above all, though, he's kind of a little shit.
Killing things, bombing things, believing in the Dinobot way - and I guess he's kind of good at keeping a hold on himself and his violence. Better than his teammates, anyway.
Swoop joined Grimlock's Dynobots back under Nominus Prime, and with Sludge, Snarl, Slug (nee Slag) and Skar (up until the medic's death), the crew made a flawless strike force. There were some road bumps - what happened in the Toraxxis Plains, their life of crime up until Trypticon's attack, and the attempted revenge on Shockwave while he worked on a prehistoric Earth - but they stuck together. They had a policy not to think of themselves as teammates but we all know about best laid plans.
Until Swoop was revived by Scorponok with Slug, Snarl and Sludge, and the four found out what Grimlock had done - how he'd purposefully rigged their deaths in the case of failure against Shockwave all those millenia ago. Swoop was the one who was hurt the worst at this revelation. He'd been betrayed by the leader he'd trusted, believed in, killed for, and he couldn't forgive that. So he left.
Or, he tried to. Some other stuff happened and Swoop decided he couldn't actually leave his commander to die like that, not without putting up a fight.
After all the Earth shenanigans and Grim getting carted off by Ultra Magnus, Swoop stayed under the new leadership of Slug as a Dinobot and returned to Cybertron. There was some fun stuff that happened there but then Slug started hitting the ol' engex a little too heavily and Sludge and Snarl were off doing - well, who knew what in their spare time - and Swoop got tired. Grimlock was the reason he'd joined the Dinobots, after all, and the way the team was crumbling now....
So, to Grimlock he went.
