From Transformers: Lost and Found

Played by: Koi
Soldier of Misfortune
Division: Combat
Alt-Mode: Monstrous Horned Beetle
Faction: Autobot

Sunstreaker is the pretty yellow one with the bad personality, not the rugged red one with the good personality.

The older Autobots don't like to talk about Sunstreaker. Some people say they kept him around just because he was such a remarkable killer, but he was never really one of them no matter how they tried to include him. Optimus didn't listen to their advice and took Sunstreaker to Earth, where the natives captured him and did something horrible which changed him, maybe for the worse. There's something funny about Sunstreaker, they say. Be careful around him.

They say artillery bounces off of him, like he's bulletproof. There's a famous war photograph of him executing a Decepticon prisoner while posing for the camera like he was at a modelling shoot. Supposedly he's some kind of expert in cleaning up Insecticon infestations. He even has a tame Insecticon to help him track them down.

Sunstreaker missed out on most of the Earth campaign because he was busy being experimented on by evil humans and Scorponok, who apparently mutilated a human and stuck it on Sunstreaker's neck stump like a ghastly imitation of his head. Somehow Sunstreaker survived this and teamed up with his own head(?!) to go get his real head back so he could stop being a monstrosity. He was present for the last Earth battle where the Decepticons ambushed the Autobots and forced their retreat to Cybertron, and Optimus Prime blew himself up to save the day as usual. Sunstreaker followed this up by imitating Optimus Prime and blowing himself up on a bridge, being rescued by Ironhide and Alpha Trion, and proceeding to purge Insecticons on Cybertron like a man possessed, until he was recovered by the other Autobots and decided to go on a crazy space quest for some presumably self-aggrandizing private reason.
