Riptide isn't very smart. Whether this is from only going through 8 steps of the MTO teaching process, or something natural, is unknown. This leads him to getting somewhat frustrated when unable to figure something out. He's a simple mech that enjoys simple things, like media, drinking, and joking with others. Zoning out during a lecture is a given and he tends to use 'internet' terms at times such as 'fail' and 'epic', though one of his more noticeable faults is his tendency to be chatty when worried or scared.


Riptide was essentially a constructed cold M.T.O. (Made To Order) soldier created during the time of the Simanzi Massacre, specifically to help combat an event known as the Forced Flood. It's assumed he learned how to pilot and repair vehicles around that time. During the war he did his duty as any soldier would, though once the Autobots achieved victory he set his sights on another goal.

Eager to join Rodimus on his journey to find the Knights of Cybertron, he joined Drift and Pipes during their efforts to find a proper ship. But when learning about the sparkeater on board from the NAILs they bought it from, he ended up fighting them with 'a little hand of his own', but was subsequently knocked out for two days. Luckily the others helped bring him on board before the ship's launch, allowing him to join the crew and their quest.

Eventually, nine monoliths arrive and everyone aboard the LL watches them in bated breath as they open and unfold and become... the Unmaker, Unicron!
Colony: Velocitron30 May 2016On Velocitron, speed is what matters. Their mobile cities, the Velocites, traverse the surface to stay ahead of the searing heat of dawn. In the capital, Delta, the upcoming Inevitable 250 race is about to determine the new leader. The slow workers banished to the polar city of Mu are seething with rebellion. The older city of Transit, mysteriously slowing down, may require evacuation before it burns up.
