From Transformers: Lost and Found
|Played by: Shipsgenius|
A warborn Decepticon scout with a strong dislike of Autobots and traitors to the Decepticon cause. His conviction that he has to prove himself to everyone often leads to reckless behavior.
On one hand, when it comes to Autobots, people who don't fight, or are in his weight class, Quicksight has no doubt that he's better than them. As far as he's concerned, people who chose to be Autobots are either idiots, or supporters of tyranny, fighters are just better, and he himself is the fastest, smartest, handsomest minibot around. On the other, he is stubbornly convinced that everybody bigger or stronger than him is looking down on him for being a mere scout, a lightweight, not built for any actual action. Whether or not anyone actually does that (he never asks, he just assumes), he constantly strives to prove them wrong, by rushing headfirst in to any danger he can find.
This sort of recklessness extends to his personal interests as well. One of his favourite activities upon landing on a new planet is to find the nearest forest, city, or other obstacle dense area and test his flying skills by turning it in to an impromptu obstacle course to dash through at top speed. He does know how to slow down and smell the roses, so to speak. He enjoys exploring new places, whether it be by air or on foot, and 'treasure hunting' -- looking for notable, strange, or just plain interesting landmarks, phenomena, and other things. He keeps a journal of his most interesting finds, although he will not admit it openly, believing that that will cause others to look down on him even more.
He has no doubt that the Decepticon cause is just. Enamored by stories of a revolution of the downtrodden, and having never known anything but the war, he is blind to any turn from the original cause, and believes that the goal justifies any means. Megatron himself is, in his optics, an infallible spearhead of justice, incapable of doing any wrong. The concept of a peace where the Decepticons have not won is alien to him, so much that he simply refuses to accept it, believing it to be merely a lull in the hostilities until Megatron returns and leads the Decepticons to victory. The arrangement with the Lost Light is, to him, merely a ruse thought up by Soundwave to prepare for that eventuality, and he is willing to endure having to work alongside Autobots for that goal.
Quicksight came online during the later years of the war, one of a batch of MTOs meant for a conflict over a resource rich planet. Quicksight himself was meant for the reconnaissance portion, built to be able to get in to Autobot occupied territory relativity undetected, gather as much information on their positions, and send it back to base. His own return was not entirely necessary, or at least, not expected, so long as he did his job. He managed to do both, eluding the Autobot sent after him with the help some dumb luck, and the ability to fit in to a smaller space than his bigger pursuer.
The conflict over the planet didn't end with one battle, and the two opposing forces hunkered down in different corners, both making runs at each other, but neither making any proper headway. It's there that Quicksight started picking up the skills he would need for his continued survival, and service to the Decepticon cause. He quickly began learning how to use the terrain to avoid capture and detection, taking advantage of his smaller size, and his built in speed and agility to take shelter in the trees and between the rock formations found on the planet. Eventually, he even started maneuvering through them not only for practice, or in the field, but also as a hobby, a test of his abilities in flight.
While his unit was stationed on that planet, Quicksight, and some of his fellow, surviving young MTOs were effectively taken under the wing of one older Decepticon by the name of Spin. Spin took it upon himself to teach the new troops about the ways of the world through wondrous stories of noble revolutionaries, evil functionalists, and the self-serving, bigoted Autobots that supported them, leaving Quicksight with no doubt in his mind that the Decepticons were right, the Autobots were either stupid, or evil, and that Megatron was a hero and a beacon of freedom.
As the conflict over the resources dragged on, the Autobots began gaining the upper hand. Eventually the Decepticon higher ups decided to cut their losses, withdraw the remains of Quicksight's unit, and redistribute it to fill up gaps in more important ones, in which Quicksight remained until the end of the war.
Initially reluctant to sign on to a ship commanded by Autobots, with Drift, of all people, as the second officer, Quicksight spent about a year attempting to adjust to a postbellum life on Cybertron. Pretty quickly he figured out that he neither had any idea as to what he was doing, nor did he really enjoy it, especially with Starscream in charge. That, combined with his desire to still be of use to the Cause finally overcame his reluctance and brought him to the Lost Light.

Decepticon comms officer, mentor figure to MTOs on Keiiar
Amica. Like an older brother. Deserves to feel safe and happy, and should be protected.
Skystalker's boyfriend. Might be decent, just too dumb to have ever considered past Autobot propaganda. Will still be watched lest he do something to hurt Sky.
Former friend. Seemed decent at first, but turns out he works for Prowl and accuses friends of lying without fact checking. Not someone I need as a friend.
