Perceptor is one of the most acute scientific minds of all Cybertron, whose thirst for knowledge is unsurpassed. Despite the disapproval of some Autobots, he upgraded himself with combat functionality during the war.

Personality

Perceptor is generally quiet and self-assured. He is a bit excitable, especially with regards to scientific endeavors and research opportunities. The quintessential nerd. That is, if nerds were capable snipers.

Skills

Perceptor specializes in modification and cyberbiology, though his constant drive to learn has resulted in him being proficient in most branches of science known to cybertronians.

History

Perceptor's life had always been meticulously planned out for him. He started out just accepting his place in the world. It wasn't a bad place, and it afforded him privelages not accessible to others. For the most part he wasn't acutely aware of how he'd lucked out with the particular alt, though he did occasionally resent the immobility that came with it. He spent the entirety of time before the war working in Iacon. When the war finally engulfed Cybertron, fleeing the conflict didn't seem right. Perceptor joined the Autobots in a bid to defend the planet by whatever means he could provide.

His time during the war was primarily spent as a noncombatant aboard various orbital facilities. He was seldom stationed planet-side. Near the end of the war, he worked with Brainstorm to restore Kup's body and sanity. This led to him working with the Wreckers as a handler for the mech, until a jailbreak ended with a massive aperture through his chest and a non-affiliated mech of dubious origin saving him. He didn't take this well, and the subsequent overhaul of his body helped to ensure it would never happen again.

One end-of-the-universe and end to the war later, he's left Cybertron aboard the Lost Light, chasing a myth with Rodimus and his crew.
