TLF offers both staff- and player-run plots, both ones interwoven in the overarching metaplot of the game and one-off adventures.

Player-Run Plots

Also known as PRPs, player-run plots are an integral part of the story at TLF. We strive to provide and welcoming and supportive atmosphere for player GMs to allow them to craft exciting, enjoyable stories. Players are welcome to contact staff to reserve time on the plot calendar and run from there, but staff is also always welcome to sit down and talk about plots for GMs who might benefit from a little more discussion.

Plot Cards

TLF has a database of Plot Cards designed to offer ideas and hooks for player GMs to utilize. The cards are broken down into three categories.

Plot

Plot cards are basic plot ideas, from the serious to the silly. Simply put, they're a selection of plot prompts players are welcome to look through and utilize if they fancy one as a basic plot jumping off point. Staff also welcomes submissions from players if they have prompts they'd like to add to the database.

Hook

Hook cards are metaplot clues offered up without spoilers or context. They are brief items that a GM could claim to feature at some point in their plot that allows them to connect their story to the larger narrative of the game. A hook card's importance might not reveal itself until months down the line as the story unfolds.

NPC

NPC cards are staff-designed NPCs connected to the metaplot that can be used as cameos or features in a PRP. They can vary in importance, from a basic outline for a boss's goon to a named, recurring character.
