|roomdesc=The four shuttle bays accommodate one of the ship's four shuttles in each bay. The first bay is dominated by the Rodpod. Yes, it really does look like Rodimus's head. No, you can't take it out for the joy ride. Easily the fastest of the shuttles, it is also the smallest. The second (O Fortuna) and third bay contains shuttles which are slightly slower, yet not so large as the shuttle in the last. The last bay contains the Scout Ship "The Leading Light" which can carry a hundred without difficulty.
|log=Space-ready bots are a unique class of mechs, and those that can move quick and silent find themselves right at home. The planet that the Lost Light comes upon for its next stop is Scira, a planet of seedy society but ready trade centers. The lights on the dark side are webs of urban sprawl, and when the star's local light pans across the surface it highlights the continental spread. The atmosphere is clear, for now; it gets the scouts a good view of the surface, and they are able to get close enough to the planet to inspect transmissions with a cursory look, and test the ability of the Lost Light to find a landing space. They don't meet with any live missile systems-- so that is good.

As the Lost Light reopens its shuttle bay for Quicksight and Skystalker, the landing strip is clear for them to pull right in. The stealth starfighter, a sleek, hematite black, glides gracefully into place on the nearest open berth, engines a subtle purr of sound as Skystalker comes to a rest. He's silent, for those first moments, considering something on the inside as he waits for his current partner to land.

Quicksight doesn't even wait until he's touched the floor to shift back in to root mode. In fact, he seems quite content to use the process to slow himself down, killing the remaints of his momentum by digging his heels in to the ground. Sparks fly, he doesn't care. He's in a good mood right now. "Finally! I was begining to think that we'd never reach a propper planet with a propper atmospehere!" he chatters cheerfully as he grinds to a halt. there is a twinge of eager impatiance in his voice "I mean, space and gas giants and all that are nice and everything, but they're boring!"

Happy little bots, no matter the reason, are at least a reassuring thing. Skystalker sits there on his landing gears, quiet for Quicksight's excited babble.

"...I don't like it." Is what finally comes out, the starfighter's fiberoptics fluxing color a he speaks. Skystalker lets that hang in the air for just a moment before he coils back into root mode. His features, otherwise lent to an elegant, handsome cast, are furrowed slightly in active concern. "We shouldn't stay long." The bot's careful voice matches the rest of him, cool with a touch of something sweet. This particular speech is obviously filled with nerves.

Quicksight can't help but stare a bit as his scouting partner shifts up, but his comment quickly brings his focus back to the conversation "Anything's better than being stuck on a ship full of Autobots. Well, almost anything" Being stuck on a world under that traitor Starscream's rule is still worse "Anyways, it didn't seem that bad to me."

Skystalker lifts one hand to brush invisible dust from the crook of shoulder and chest, as if being near Scira was bad enough. The frown on his full lips doesn't suit him as much. "Almost anything?" The skepticism is strong in this one. "Places like that..." The taller mech shakes his head twice, the movement firm. "Best not to linger if you're only visiting."

"Places like what?" Quicksight looks up at the taller mech. It's good to make eye contact with people you're talking to, right? EYE contact. Ok, there, better "If you mean that its porbably chock full of aliens, probably organics, who cares? They're everywhere anyways. We can't avoid every planet with them, else we won't be able to land anywhere! Just ignore them. Or shoot them or something."

The tip of the other mech's head comes with a blink of luminous eyes and a shift of weight from one leg to the other, the curve of hips following. Skystalker's mouth presses into a fine line. "Wretched hives. That kind of place. I can only deal with so much scum." That's one way to put it. "But we need supplies, and for Primus only knows why-- bots want to get off of the ship."

Quicksight tilts his head, giving Skystalker a confused look "So just avoid those parts, or shoot them if they become a problem" he suggests again. With not much experience with alien planets that did not eventually become either a warzone or a military base, he can't really see what the big deal is. He'd never really cared for direct contact with the locals in the first place "What gave you that impression anyways?"

"You cannot solve everything by shooting it." Skystalker levels, the lift of the wing sections at his back giving a downward sweep, the metallic pieces of crest along his head flattening more tightly against the curve of skull. "Some of the transmissions I picked up, and the intelligence we already had; and some of the supplies we need are not readily available. It's easier to visit a market world with less scruples. Hedonia, for example."

"This one was probably just the closest" Quicksight shrugs "I'm just saying, I don't see why we can't enjoy ourselves a bit, since we're here anyways. Why should we care about what's going on there? I at least don't. I just want to stretch my wings properly, make sure my skills aren't getting rusty" the last bit he says with a proud boastfulness in his voice. He totally thinks of himself as an ace flyer.

Being small and fast does lend itself to skill. Skystalker lifts a hand to draw fingertips over the edge of his chin, gaze wavering from the Decepticon and shoulders squaring. "Then I hope you get what you want out of this visit." Primus knows that it still gives Skystalker problems-- though none of them unexpected on a personal level. These types of planets do not hold fond memories for him.

Still looking up at the other mech, Quicksight raises a brow ridge, looking somewhat amused by all this cynicism "You need to relax. Just watch! Nothing's going to go wrong!" he crosses his arms and lifts his head "I mean, come on, what can a bunch of organics do to us anyways? We're tougher and stronger than them! And faster!"

Skystalker lifts his chin, the light of the shuttle bay drawing slender shadows over his face. He does not intend to appear more intimidating, but the set of him is Just Right-- and it gives that impression. "You would be surprised what an organic can do if they have a mind to." A palm raises to wave at the air, dismissive of the still open bay doors as Skystalker swans into motion to close them up. "I'll relax when we get back to the mission."

Quicksight stares after Skystalker. And here Gearstrip thought <i>he</i> was too focused on his task! She should meet this guy. He doesn't even seem to know the meaning of enjoyment! "They'd have to catch us first! I don't get how you can be so eager to be stuck in this tin can. There's always time to do that! It's not like we stop by a propper planet every mega-cycle!"

Skystalker does smile a touch at Quicksight's note about being caught first. It's a quick thing, fleeting, but sincere. "I'd rather be stuck in this tin can with Rod's giant head--" He lifts out his arms, gesture expansive at the Rodpod berthed nearby. "--than stuck on the surface of an alien planet. But you're right. We //are// rather hard to catch."

Following Skystalker's gesture, Quicksight gives the Rod Pod a disguisted look. Leave it to an Autobot to make something as self indulgent as a shuttle in the shape of your own head! "It's not like we're going to settle there. It would at least be a change of scenery. Otherwise it's just all--" he makes a vague gesture at the room around them, looking like he can't fathom why anyone would want to spend all their time staring at metal walls "--this. It gets boring!"

"Mmh." Skystalker makes a noncommital sound, the calm whirr of his core taking over. "A change of scenery. Of course." He's one of the few aboard that can make long trips into the space around the Lost Light, so his idea of trapped is a wee bit less strict. "So it does."

"Seriously, it's gonna be fine" Quicksight repeats again "You need to relax" speaking of which. The scout looks towards the door, then back at Skystalker "I'm gonna go rest a bit before we land." giving the Rodpod one last, annoyed look, he turns towards the exit "I don't wannt to get there tired!"

Skystalker looks after the mini when he moves to go, after once more telling him to relax. So easy to say. Normally Sky's not nearly this highstrung. It's a bad day. He winds one arm around his core, hand resting on the opposite curve of waist. "Sleep well, Quicksight." Manners are still important. As for himsel, left behind in the shuttle bay, Skystalker finds a place to sit and think before they land.
